Thank you for your enquiry about the post of Pastoral Support Assistant at The Elmgreen School. The purpose of this role is to assist the Heads of Year in supporting, promoting and monitoring the personal development, well-being, academic progress and achievement of students in the Key Stage. The staff at Elmgreen are committed to securing the best outcomes for all students and the role of Pastoral Support is integral to helping remove barriers to learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Heads of Year with the development of the Key Stage and day to day pastoral issues
  • Responsible for the support of students within the Key Stage, including their welfare, attitude to learning and academic progress
  • Supporting the behaviour of students within the Key Stage
  • Undertaking administrative duties as appropriate
