An exciting opportunity to work at a rapidly expanding Special School.

We are seeking to appoint Zero Hours Bank Teaching Assistants to cover staff absences at our fantastic special school.  We currently have vacancies in Early years, Primary, Secondary, Post 16 and our Alternative Education Provision and you would be required to work across all departments.

Briarwood has a dedicated team of staff, governors and parents/carers who are proud to support 160 children and young people aged 3 to 19 years and are passionate about their progress, happiness and care.

You will be required to work with a range of pupils whom have severe and profound learning difficulties.  A large number of our pupils have challenging behaviours and are within the Autistic Spectrum.  Candidates must bring energy, confidence and enthusiasm with a commitment to inclusion. You will work alongside a large, strong and supportive LSA and teaching team. Under the guidance of the teaching staff, you will provide direct support for the learning of individual children or groups of children to achieve defined progression targets.  Experience and knowledge in working with children within a special needs setting is desirable. This is an exciting opportunity to join our school in a period of rapid development.

The posts are zero hours bank positions, and as such we are not obligated to provide a minimum number of working hours per week and you are not obliged to accept any work offered.
