The internship takes place over a one-year period. On successful completion of the internship the trainee Wellbeing and Work Coach will have the opportunity to progress into roles within the Weston College Group. Interns who successfully complete the one-year programme will be given the option to complete further post graduate study funded by the college.

As a trainee Wellbeing and Work Coach you will be developed and supported to fulfil the following:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality support sessions.
  • Develop learning resources that can be used within your sessions to make participants more independent.
  • Develop opportunities for your participants both educationally and for work.
  • Support the development of skills, knowledge and behaviours for participants next steps.
  • Provide pastoral support to participants.
  • Meet all expectations of your qualifications.
  • Work alongside a Subject Specialist Mentor to develop practice.
  • Engage in industry updating, subject specific and wider CPD as directed by your line manager or subject specialist Mentor.
  • Contribute to activities that support the wider enrichment opportunities for participants.
  • Develop your use of key systems and processes to ensure interventions and strategies that support progress are effective.
  • Actively contribute to Careers Information, Advice and guidance through activities and events organised by the faculty or College.
