Calling all Thespians! Come and join our thriving Drama Department to inspire and develop future actors. Rawlins is seeking to appoint an innovative and enthusiastic Teacher of Drama and English to join our fantastic team and flourishing school. Our ideal candidate will have the ability to teach Drama KS3-5 and English KS3-4, have a great love for the subjects and a passion for teaching so that our pupils flourish and thrive. The Drama Department is an integral part of the school and regularly puts on performances which involves hundreds of pupils. Recent productions include High School Musical, Grease, Peter Pan and a Night at the Musicals. Results at both GCSE and A-Level are outstanding. The successful applicant will also be required to teach some English classes.
This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Leicestershire’s largest secondary school, with over 1500 on roll including more than 300 in our A-level specific Sixth Form. We are a highly inclusive school having our own Autism and a Moderate Learning Difficulties specialist unit on site alongside our school’s SEND support base and Welfare & Success Centre known as ‘The Hive’. Pupils who attend these units are an integrated part of our school community.
