Temporary - 3 months

Full time hours (37 per week) working shifts of 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm (Monday - Friday) within the caretaking team.

It would be necessary to be able to drive for this role. In addition the successful candidate would be part of the first aid team (first aid training can be completed with us upon starting).

This role works within the Estates and Facilities team providing a comprehensive and quality service to all staff, students and visitors to the Darlington College sites.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • General Caretaking and basic maintenance duties
  • Provide assistance, direction and excellent customer service to all College users
  • Issue, move, store and return College property and equipment, moving it around the campus and ensuring it is in place for individual and group activities as required
  • Ensuring that equipment is set up correctly and fit for intended use
  • To be a First Aider & fire warden
  • To respond to any fire or emergency situation, liaising with key personnel where necessary
  • Work as part of the Site Services Team to provide a safe and secure environment for all users of the College facilities
