Sessional Practical Instructor in Hospitality & Catering
to start September 2022, 2-3 days per week
£25.92 per hour (from October)

Are you the special person we need to complement our dynamic and passionate team in the Hospitality and Catering Department? We are seeking an experienced practical instructor to join this outstanding team delivering on Hospitality and Catering courses from Entry Level and School Links Programmes through to Level 1.
Do you have the skills and passion to support our learners with both practical and basic theoretical aspects of Hospitality and Catering using a range of teaching and learning strategies? You will be sensitive to your learners’ needs whilst enabling them to express and reach their true potential and experienced in motivating young people to achieve the most from their time at college. Experience of working with 14-16 year old students and young adults with additional needs would also be advantageous.
Much of your time would be spent teaching practical skills in our state-of-the-art kitchen facilities. However, you would also be required to support with delivery of some theoretical aspects of the curriculum in the classroom as necessary.
The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic practical instructor within the team, delivering high quality training, teaching, assessment and support to learners across this outstanding Hospitality & Catering Department. Your job will be to inspire learners from Entry Level to Level 1 to reach their goals and achieve success.
Candidates should be innovative and pro-active in their approach to working with learners and have a commitment to further training and development as new initiatives evolve.
