SEND Learning Support Assistant

Contract: Casual, Hourly paid

Salary: £14.27 per hour

Are you passionate about supporting and developing the skills and knowledge of learners with SEND?

We are looking for a number of part time, hourly paid Learning Support Assistants to join our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) team. Our department delivers a range of courses that support learners with SEND to develop skills including independent living skills, communication, personal development, employability, vocational and enterprise. A commitment to working with young people and adults with additional support needs underpins all aspects of our work

You will support learners in and out of class to develop their communication, independence, employability, and life skills. There is also a requirement to support with challenging behaviour, personal care and mobility where appropriate. Skills and interest in one of the following vocational areas would be beneficial but not essential:

  • Horticulture
  • Retail Skills
  • Catering
  • IT
