Due to the continued growth of The Wellington Academy, we are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Science to join our school at an exciting time in its development. This is an excellent opportunity for either a newly qualified or more experienced teacher to join an enthusiastic, committed, and successful team.
There is an opportunity for subsidised accommodation within our Boarding House staff area, if required. We have outstanding facilities and strongly encourage visits to the Academy to see our facilities and meet our students and staff.
The Wellington Academy opened in 2009 to serve Tidworth, Ludgershall, and the surrounding area: an area with a significant military presence. Consequently, we are proud to educate a large number of children from service families and with the growing super-garrison based on Salisbury plain we expect our numbers to continue to rise.
The Wellington Academy joined the Ascend Learning Trust on 1 April 2020 and are following their approach to teaching which has seen them gain an outstanding rating by Ofsted. Our curriculum breadth is focused on ensuring every pupil is exposed to the widest range of subjects possible to equip them to leave school ready to achieve their dreams and fulfil their goals.
