POST TITLE: Quality and Enterprise Administrator

POST GRADE: Scale 5

RESPONSIBLE TO: Vice Principal

THE POST

The post holder will be responsible for the administration of activities concerned with the quality assurance of the curriculum, including curriculum area deep dives and lesson observations and curriculum area reviews with Curriculum Leaders. The post holder will also be responsible for the administration of Enterprise activities, including administration associated with professional courses for adult learners, industry boards, and links with employers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To arrange formal lesson observations of teachers.
  • To arrange deep dives interviews in curriculum areas.
  • To arrange curriculum area review meetings between Curriculum Leaders and members of SLT.
  • To maintain records of curriculum area review minutes and lesson observation reports.
  • To maintain records of the College’s Teaching, Learning and Assessment profile.
  • To assist the Head of Quality in arranging Staff Development sessions.
  • To maintain records of all standards verification visits and to notify curriculum teams of actions that must be completed as part of the standards verification process.
  • To maintain College records of contact with employers and other external stakeholders.
  • To arrange Industry Board Committee meetings.
  • To keep minutes of Industry Board Meetings.
  • To complete administrative tasks associated with professional courses for adult learners.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To work flexibly and efficiently to maintain the highest professional standards.
  • To identify and complete personal staff development needs to meet the College's strategic and operational plan and personal continuous development.
  • To participate in the College’s performance management scheme.
  • To ensure adherence to the College Data Protection, Equal Opportunities, Safeguarding and Prevent policies.
  • To work to the college quality standards within the context of the quality systems.
  • To undertake such other duties in keeping with the post as may be determined by the Vice Principal.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Level 3 or higher professional or academic qualification.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience working in an educational setting.
  • Level 3 Management qualification or willingness to work towards.
  • Shape Experience of vocational diploma type assessments.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and organizational skills.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Shape Level 2 qualifications in English and mathematics.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Tenure of post: Permanent,

Hours of work: 37 hours

Holiday: 23 holiday days per leave year (1 September to 31

                                    August), plus 8 bank holidays and up to 4 College

                                    Closure days. Pro-rata for part-time.

                                    Rising to 25 days per leave year after 5 years continuous

                                    service.

Salary: From £22,791.00 per annum

Pension: Local Government Pension Scheme (optional). This is an employee and employer contributory pension scheme.
