Personalised Learning Unit (PLUS) Manager

Salary: CAN scale 21-25

£22,722 to £24,974 per annum - actual salary

(£25,820 to £28,380 FTE)

Working hours: 37.5 per week (08:00-16:00, with an unpaid 30 minute lunch break each day) plus 15 additional hours to be worked (may be during school closure)

This is a non-teaching post which will give the successful candidate an excellent opportunity to work closely with young people supporting them in their school life.  

The role is varied and responsible and is line managed by the Leadership member with responsibility for student support in the school.  The Personalised Learning Manager will work closely with the designated Leadership member and take overall responsibility for the work of the PLUS team.

The PLUS Manager will co-ordinate the work of the PLUS team, to provide interventions to support students with mental health and well-being needs and/or challenging behaviours and, at times, to provide time out of normal timetable to work individually.

You will be expected to work effectively with both teaching and support staff at all levels as well as with parents/carers, students and external agencies. 

Training in school systems and practices will be provided.
