Pastoral Tutors (0.88 FTE 40 weeks per year)

Salary: £24,653 – £25,533 per annum prorated salary dependent on campus base

Location: Epping Forest Campus, Havering 6th Form Campus, Havering Ardleigh Green Campus, Havering Rainham Campus

We are currently looking for Pastoral Tutors to join our Tutorial & Enrichment teams across New City College predominantly for A Level and Level 3 students in the Havering Campuses and for Construction students at Epping Campus. Reporting to a Senior Curriculum Manager you will work alongside teaching staff to provide pastoral support for learners to improve attendance, retention, achievement and encourage positive progression. As part of your role you will deliver and facilitate a tutorial and Enrichment curriculum through weekly group tutorial sessions which will help develop learners’ broader skills and knowledge contributing to their development as responsible, respectful and active citizens. 

The ideal candidate would have experience in a similar role, possess a Level 3 Education / Training qualification or be willing to work towards one.

You should be an effective communicator with the ability to form positive and professional relationships with young people.
