Librarian and Learning Resources Lead

York Campus

37 hours per week, permanent role

£27,286 - £29,819 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Librarian and Learning Resources Lead to join our supportive and dynamic team here at the York Campus of Askham Bryan College.

This role will be working full time 37 hours per week on a permanent basis. 

We are seeking an individual who will be responsible for implementing and advancing our transition to the new library management system Heritage. Enabling the full team to use all features including advanced features. They will support the vision for the learning resources space to be an open and vibrate space where students can work and easily access online and physical resources to support their learning. They will make sure the online pages are as inviting and easy to navigate as the physical spaces. They will induct students and develop the student’s information literacy and support with citation and referencing workshops. They will work alongside key stakeholders such and publishers and agents to ensure we have suitable coverage in areas where we need it most, focused on providing what the student and departments need. This is an exciting time of transformation where we are linking together digital learning and Learning resources. They will need sector experience and knowledge specifically in the day to day aspects of how learning resources centres run, meeting the needs of the students and colleagues across the organisation. 

Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college based across the North of England with centres in York, Middlesbrough, Saltaire, Wakefield and Newcastle.
