Leicester College's Apprenticeship and Commercial Operations Department is seeking a full-time lecturer to deliver on their Engineering Apprenticeship programme.

The ideal candidate will have experience in machining components from specialist materials using conventional and/or CNC machining tools such as lathes, milling machines, CAD, lifting skills and gridding machines.
You will have the opportunity to be an integral part of the team responsible for developing and enhancing programmes.
As a Lecturer, you will deliver a variety of units across the Engineering apprenticeship standard.
This apprenticeship is part of the recently developed Apprenticeship Standards and is a popular course that is offered by the college. You will have the opportunity to be an integral part of the team responsible for developing and enhancing this programme.
The successful applicant will possess a range of skills relating to Engineering. You will also work as part of a team, provide feedback in a way that motivates individuals and help learners overcome potential barriers to progress and achieve. We are looking for a positive, proactive, solutions focused individual to help us drive the provision to support our journey to outstanding.
Knowledge of the Apprenticeship Standards, E - portfolio’s (Smart Assessor) and experience of working with students would be beneficial along with excellent communication skills and a 'can do' approach to tasks.
You must hold or be prepared to work towards a full teaching qualification e.g. Level 5 Diploma in education and training, Certificate in Education or Post Graduate Certificate in Education.
You must hold or be prepared to work towards an Assessors award e.g. A1/TAQA or equivalent.
You must hold at least a Level 3 qualification within Machining/Engineering.
A minimum of Level 2 qualifications in maths and English or equivalent
You must have relevant experience within the Engineering industry.
