Bank hourly paid contract
Average 9 hours per week Teaching with 3 hours admin paid at the non-teaching rate
£25.47 to £30.41 per hour Teaching rate and £16.47 to £19.67 non-teaching rate
Based at the St Albans Campus
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Sports and public services team; You will have extensive industry experience in the sport and fitness industry or in sport coaching and hold the appropriate qualifications to teach specialist qualifications.
As part of the role, you will be involved in interviewing, guidance, initial assessment, selection, and induction of students to learning programmes. You will be required to work as part of the course team in the development, design, review and evaluation of the curriculum and associated learning materials.
You should hold as a minimum a Level 3 subject specialist qualification or higher when necessary to teach the subject area at the required level and, relevant industry experience in the subject specialism. The ideal candidate will have Teaching experience and hold qualifications in Level 3 Personal Training (including Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology and Level 3 Nutrition), Level 3 Sports massage and Level 2 Exercise to Music. BTEC knowledge is also preferred although this is not essential as the College will support you in achieving this as part of your professional development.
In addition to the teaching, you will be required to include preparation, classroom delivery and marking, and to deliver tutorial activity related to programmes of study.
