The Care, Health and Early Years Department is looking to recruit a lecturer with an Early Years background to teach across our L1 to L3 Early Years programmes including the new T-level in Education and Childcare.

This role is primarily based at our Cambridge campus, however,  we deliver the same range of programmes at our Huntingon campus and the post may be timetabled to work across both campuses.

The main responsibility of this role will be to provide high quality teaching, learning and assessment in addition to undertaking associated tutorial duties. The successful candidate will also be a course leader for one or more programmes.

The role is primarily face to face but we do offer agile working on a case by case basis depending on personal circumstances and business need.

Applicants will ideally have experience in teaching and assessing Early Years programmes with relevant occupational competency and experience working in the Early Years sector.

You will be passionate about your subject and inspirational to learners with the ability to generate creative teaching and learning materials, along with good organisational and time-management skills.

You will hold a relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification or have industry experience with a full teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE, DTLS) which is required for the role. Applicants with a L3 teaching qualification who are willing to undertake a full L5 Diploma in Education and Training will be considered.

All appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including a satisfactory Enhanced criminal records with Barred List check through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
