The Role
The department of Inclusive Learning and Alternative Provision wishes to appoint a exceptional Learning Support Assistant to provide practical support to young people (14-16, 16-18) and adults with learning difficulties, behaviour barriers to learning and/or physical disabilities to facilitate their independence, access to learning and integration into the life of the College.
Permanent - Term Time Only - 30 hours a week
Please note: The successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience of working with people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities including ASD, MLD, SLD and PMLD and experience of providing personal care in either paid or voluntary work or in the home.
Candidate will hold a Personal skills in English, Mathematics and ICT by holding Level 2 qualifications with a 5-year currency (or by undertaking initial assessments at job interview stage and by achieving Level 2 within one year of their appointment date as appropriate)
