Here at KGS, our IT department is primarily responsible for the maintenance and first line support of the IT resources provided to the staff and students, ensuring the smooth operation of devices and services and assisting with AV support at events.

We are now looking to expand our team and bring on board IT Technicians who can utilise the school’s online ServiceDesk tools to prioritise and respond to requests for support throughout the school day and during some evening events.

Working alongside the current Network Manager and IT Technician and reporting to the Director of IT, we are interested in applications from individuals who can demonstrate a good level of technical competence to troubleshoot problems, communicate solutions effectively and provide hardware and software maintenance on a variety of devices.

The successful applicant will ideally possess demonstrable experience of managing many users, ideally within a Service Desk environment and will possess a good understanding of Internet technologies. You will be able to work to deadlines, work well as part of a team and be confident providing lesson support for Computing and Computer Science lessons as required.

The roles are offered on fulltime permanent contracts working 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. The core hours of the role cover the school day which is 8.15am until 3.45pm but there may be some flexibility on hours available either side of this. Some events and IT maintenance will take place outside these hours so some paid overtime will be available.

We can consider part time applications. Please include your preference in your covering letter.

A competitive salary and benefits package is also on offer for these roles.
