Background to the Post

The Catering department at Rugby offers a wide range of courses. Students benefit from training within our professional kitchens and restaurant on site. This post will supervise / Instructor within the area, and manage the kitchen and restaurant accordingly.

Rugby College has excellent transport links and is located on a relatively new development within walking distance of Rugby rail station and close to Junction One and Elliott's Field retail parks on the A426 Leicester Road.

Essential Attainments:

  • Experience of professional practice in the relevant industry.
  • A level three qualification in a relevant area.
  • A L2 Qualification in English and Maths
  • Working knowledge of information technology such as e-mail, the internet and other software applications.

Desirable Attainments:

  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of Equality and Diversity.
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
  • Ability to demonstrate behaviours which support the Core Values of the College.
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
