Background to the Post

Building on the quality and expertise in our existing teams we are seeking to recruit an assessor in the area of Health and Social Care to meet the high demand we have.

Position in the Organisation

The post holder will be a member of the Health Social Care and Education Studies department based at Evesham College.

Rugby College has excellent transport links and is located on a relatively new development within walking distance of Rugby rail station and close to Junction One and Elliott's Field retail parks on the A426 Leicester Road.

Essential Attainments:

  • GCSE Grade C or above in English and Mathematics, or Level 2 equivalent qualification.
  • A qualification in Health and/or Social care.
  • Recent experience of working in the sector.
  • Evidence of maintaining ongoing CPD.
  • A UK driving licence free or major endorsements and the use of a motor vehicle.
  • Working knowledge of information technology such as e-mail, the internet and other software applications.
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Desirable Attainments:

  • Experience of supporting students in the workplace.
  • Experience of delivering and facilitating training to groups.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to liaise effectively with learners.
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of current developments within the Health and / or Social Care Sector
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written
  • Self-motivated with the ability to motivate others.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Enthusiastic with an innovative approach.
  • Ability to adopt a customer-care approach.
  • Ability to work flexibly in terms of location and timing.
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of Equality and Diversity.
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
  • Ability to demonstrate behaviours which support the Core Values of the College.
