Abbey Park School requires a Head of Business to join us at an exciting time of growth for the school.
The Park Academies Trust was formed in 2016 with the vision to make a significant contribution to improving education in Swindon and surrounds.
A family of four schools; Abbey Park School, Lydiard Park Academy, Orchid Vale Primary School and Red Oaks Primary School; the Trust offers a high quality all through educational provision from nursery right up to our Sixth Form based at Lydiard Park Academy, enabling staff and pupils alike to benefit from being part of a thriving multi-phase educational Trust.
We recently celebrated another excellent year for GCSE results across both Trust secondary schools, and a very successful set of A level results from our Sixth Form based at LPA. We need talented staff as we take advantage of the unique opportunities ahead.
The Business and Computing department is a popular faculty with pupils within the school, with high options uptake and good results at GCSE. The department is well-resourced with excellent facilities to support teaching and learning. We provide our pupils with extra-curricular opportunities and a team from our school got through to the finals of the IFS Student Investor Challenge 2016 and came 4th place out of 10,000 teams competing nationally. In addition to the Head of Business Studies responsibility, the successful candidate will teach some KS3 IT/Computing.
