University Centre Askham Bryan College: Course Manager/Lecturer - Crops & Sustainable Soil Management

Part Time - 22.2 hours per week, Permanent

Askham Bryan College is an ambitious, specialist land-based college based across the North of England with its University Centre on the outskirts of historic York.

We have an exciting opportunity for a University Centre Lecturer specialising in Crops and Sustainable Soil Management here at our York campus. This is a permanent role working 22.2 hours per week (0.6FTE) on a permanent contract.

The successful applicant will be a proactive and self-motivated individual, who will work closely with University Centre Team, the wider curriculum team and farm staff when required.

The ideal candidate should hold a formal level 7 qualification or higher, either in the subject area or possess extensive working knowledge in the subject area. Excellent knowledge of Crop Management, Plant & Soil Science, Agricultural Mechanisation, Grassland Management and Agronomy from a British, European and global prospective. You will have excellent communication skills, be experienced with Microsoft programs and be willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business and support outstanding student experience, marketing opportunities and industry engagement.
