Peterborough College, part of the Inspire Education Group, is a large, successful college of further and higher education.
This particular role is based at the Media and Journalism centre which is a satellite centre near Peterborough city centre. Here we hold our Media/Journalism and Photography courses.
In this role you will provide administrative support to the Curriculum Leader and staff at the MJC as well as supporting two other areas based on main campus. Part of this role is manning the reception area of the MJC, meeting and greeting students, visitors and trades people. Travel between the MJC and main campus will be necessary at scheduled times during the week.
Essential qualification requirement for this role is grade C or above in GCSE English and Maths – or equivalent. Desired is a level 3 administrative qualification. Ideally you will hold a first aid at work certificate or be willing to train for this.
You will ideally have administrative experience in an education setting, some experience of working on a reception would be useful. You will be confident with good organisation skills, able to work to tight deadlines, prioritise tasks and able to work flexibly as you will need to assist at some curriculum events which are outside of core hours. You will have the ability to work as part of a team but equally on your own.
