Hours of work; Part Time – 15.5 hours per week (spread across 5 days)
Term time only plus inset days (39 weeks per year)
Permanent Contract
Salary: SCP 5-8 (Actual Salary £7,741.11 - £8,172.39 per annum)

Nythe Primary and Nursery School are seeking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic ELSA to join our supportive, hardworking and dedicated team.
Nythe Primary and Nursery School is a lively and happy school which is valued and well supported by our local community. We have high expectations and seek to develop in all our children a strong sense of individual responsibility and respect for others.
We are seeking applicants who wish to promote the emotional, physical and educational development of pupils. The successful applicant will work to encourage children to relate to each other, foster positive relationships and engage with classroom/school life. They will encourage children to form friendships and engage in positive play at lunchtimes. Experience of working in schools with children experiencing emotional, social and behavioural difficulties would also be an advantage.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is dedicated, patient and has a good sense of humour.
- Has high expectations of all children
- Is able to use their initiative and be flexible in their approach to best support the needs of the children.
- Champions the importance of emotional wellbeing.
- Is a trained ELSA, or is willing to complete this training.
- Can support children at play during lunchtimes.
