Computing Teacher- Full time

Up to £37,000 (depending on qualification)

Nescot has achieved a reputation over the years for being at the forefront of Computing and IT training in the UK, and are therefore pleased to be looking to recruit to this exciting position within the Computing department.

We require an experienced and enthusiastic Computing teacher to deliver on a number of programmes. You will have demonstrable technical / vocational experience and the ability to teach across a range of IT provision including HND level. Experience delivering on BTEC programmes is an advantage.

You must be open to change and have the skills to manage students effectively and meet challenges with a positive and flexible approach and be a team operator. Applicants should have the energy and enthusiasm needed to contribute to a successful College and Computing department.

You will be required to undertake a range of teaching activities and to contribute effectively to team working and providing tutorial support to students; you will also be required to create learning materials and mark work, internally verify work and liaise with external examiners and external organisations.

The successful candidate(s) should possess or currently be working towards a higher-level qualification in Computer Science, Business Systems or similar and a full teaching qualification. All applicants should be able to demonstrate effective information technology skills and knowledge of up-to-date application software.

Success in teaching HE learners together with an understanding of HE quality assurance and self-assessment would be an advantage for the candidate.
