 NJC8 – 12 £20,852 - £22,571 Full time, 37 hours per week, Year Round with 5 weeks Annual Leave.  Working Hours usually Monday – Thursday 11:30 –a.m. - 7:30 p.m., Friday 11:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. 

Some flexibility will be required to provide cover for other members of the caretaking team

BFS is seeking to appoint a dedicated, dynamic and flexible full time Caretaker to work as a member of our busy and dedicated Site Team.  This role includes general maintenance and day to day duties including facilitating school events and lettings, general maintenance, overseeing site health, safety and security, porterage, and some basic cleaning duties.  The successful applicant will have strong DIY skills, a knowledge of health, safety and compliance and/or willingness to learn.  Wide ranging duties include opening or closing the building and taking responsibility for site safety and security.  This is an interesting and diverse role suitable for a hard-working candidate who can demonstrate knowledge in these areas and a willingness to be flexible.

The role also incorporates day to day duties such as putting out and furniture for school events,  litter picking, porterage and emergency cleaning duties and allocated fire duties. Caretaker to undertake a range on duties to ensure safety and security of the school site.

Bristol Free School is a vibrant and successful school, serving the community of North West Bristol. It is situated in a well-connected location, from which it is easy to access the city and motorway network.  The School has just celebrated being open for 10 years and is oversubscribed, now admitting 200 students per year with a thriving Sixth Form. The site is a mix of refurbished and new buildings.
