GCSE Alternative Provision Tutor

Students

Working closely with us as a freelance tutor, you will work in a 1:1 capacity with young people who are experiencing emotional based school non-attendance. Many of these learners are highly anxious so experience working with learners with a PDA profile, anxiety, ASD other SEN experience would be highly advantageous. Its a wonderful opportunity to really make a difference. Students we work with range from EYFS and KS1 to KS5 age. Students at KS4 / KS5 would typically be studying Functional Skills and GCSE level qualifications.

Location

The schools and local authorities work with us to provide 1:1 tutoring either in the family home, school setting or learning centres. 

Curriculum

Whilst all students will be 'on roll' with a named school placement, the educators we place will have full autonomy to provide a personalised delivery of the curriculum, in a gentle way, to enable the learner to make academic progress but also build self esteem. The goal is almost always to return to a school setting unless long-term EOTAS package is agreed and named by the local authority.
