Are you an experienced professional with a background in SEND admissions? Are you keen to use your knowledge and develop your skills across education and care provision? Jigsaw Trust is recruiting an experienced professional to lead the end-to-end admissions process, securing learner placements at our provisions for autistic individuals.

Salary: £45,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm
Annual Leave: 25 days plus bank holidays

This is a senior position within the Trust that supports growth across both Jigsaw’s Education and Care settings, through the successful placement and retention of both pupils and adult learners in line with statutory SEND education and care procedures.

How will you drive the Trust’s success?

  • Manage, develop and administer the admissions process for Jigsaw School and JigsawPlus, leading on internal transitions between provisions and growing external placements
  • Be the primary point of contact for all prospective clients and Local Authorities, negotiating fees and placement terms to meet business needs
  • Manage the Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) process and care plans to ensure that children, young people and adult learners with SEND receive appropriate assessments, services and provision, confirming whether their needs can be suitably met
  • Maintain sound knowledge of relevant legislation and practice standards, ensuring that procedures remain compliant and stakeholders are well informed where required
  • Reporting to the CEO, you will contribute to the development and growth of business services partnering with key stakeholders at all levels across the Trust to deliver our strategic goals

Ideally you will be:

  • Experienced within a comparable role in a SEND specific education or within a local authority
  • Knowledgeable of relevant legislation, practice standards and the SEND Code of Practice
  • Able to review and interpret EHCP’s and manage assessments and tribunals
  • A strong communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
  • Able to negotiate and influence, implementing solutions that balance both commercial drive and the Trusts ethos
  • Experience in Social Care would be advantageous, but a demonstrable desire to expand knowledge and experience into the care sector is essential
