We are seeking to appoint an outstanding practitioner for the post of Assistant Headteacher, KS3. The successful candidate should have recent experience of outstanding practice in a whole school context and be able to perform well at an operational and strategic level.
Please note that experience of teaching mathematics is desirable, but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- The core responsibilities of this post relate to raising the standards of attainment and progress of students at Key Stage 3:
- To strategically lead on raising standards of student attainment and progress across KS3
- To be responsible for ensuring students’ progress and attainment across all subject areas, and that all key groups achieve at least in line with their peers.
- To lead the implementation of effective systems that monitor and secure excellent attainment and progress
- To take a lead in the analysis of assessment information to support action planning including test and examination data to identify targeted interventions for individuals and groups of students
