We are looking for an experienced administrator who will help us with key elements of coordination of the Hammersmith & Fulham Careers Cluster. Funded by the European Social Fund and the GLA, LMP Action are working with the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, to deliver the Career Cluster with 12 schools and colleges, alongside dozens of local businesses and employers.

The project supports young people to develop their vital employability skills and work readiness, through meaningful employer engagement and work opportunities, whilst also supporting schools and businesses to develop long-term and sustained relationships.

The Programme aims to develop sustained business relationships, formulate and implement employer-endorsed careers strategies for our schools, and create 500 high-quality work experience placements.

This role will sit in LMP Action, our Community Interest Company. We are set up specifically to support young people broaden their horizons. We are a social impact organisation that specialises in supporting those from lower socio-economic backgrounds into sustainable, post-16 destinations.

We are looking for an organised administrator to help us with the compliance and administration tasks involved in this programme alongside our other programmes. The administrator will be coordinating and managing the placement process (pre-placement checks, sending emails to students using templates and adding to our monitoring spreadsheet).

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Manage and coordinate the compliance arrangements of the programme, ensuring that internal and external communication and reporting arrangements are maintained to a high standard
  • Support the LMP Action Director in the effective monitoring and reporting systems to ensure that a comprehensive report can be written up following the requirements of contracts
  • Ensure the operational coordination of the work experience and pilot programme KPIs
  • Ensure that the appropriate, processes, documentation etc. are in place to drive a process of continuous quality improvement
  • Work with the LMP Action Director to ensure the Programme is fully prepared for audit inspections
  • Supporting students during work placements/internships (conducting pre, mid and post-placement checks)
  • Supporting project administration and ensuring evidence is collected.
  • Providing general administration support to ensure efficient operations such as photocopying, filing, scanning and completing standard forms and responding to routine correspondence
  • Producing information data as required, this includes organising documents in relevant files accessible by only those necessary
  • Operating relevant equipment/ICT packages (MS Office).

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Project coordination and high-level administration experience (essential).
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills, and be confident interacting with anyone, no matter their background or level of influence (essential).
  • Bring experience of designing and implementing administrative systems (essential).
  • Can plan and organise efficiently and to deadlines (essential).
  • Proficient communication skills applicable within an office environment or during any period of remote working (essential).
  • Ability to manage workload and ensure compliance of records (essential).
  • Good written skills (essential).
  • Strong problem solving and ability to work under own initiative (essential).
